Mrs Maria Athanasia Georgiou has graduated from the Department of International, European and Area Studies of the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences in Athens. She has obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) in Maritime Law while studying at City University of London.

She has perfomed her internship at the Hellenic Data Protection Authotity in the Communications Department. She is working as Administrative Executive at the Hellenic Consumers' Ombudsman since 2017 and as Case Handler and Communications Officer at the European Consumer Centre of Greece since 2020.

She is fluent in English, conversant in German and in Spanish.
