Mrs Eleni Athanasiou has graduated from the Law School of the Kapodistrian University of Athens and she is a holder of a D.E.S.S. in “ Droit des Affaires et Fiscalite” from the University of Paris I – Pantheon Sorbonne. Her post – graduate dissertation concerned the consumer protection at distance selling and e-commerce.

She holds the Advocate' s License from Athens Bar Association since 2004. She has worked as a trainee lawyer in Athens and in Paris in the Law Firm “U.G.G.C. et Associes” and then she has worked as an advocate in Athens with specialization in Civil and Commercial Law.

She is a Legal Advisor – Mediator in the Hellenic Consumers' Ombudsman with main object the consensual settlement of consumer disputes. She has written many reports addressed to producers and articles in consumer law.

She has participated in many legislative drafting committees and in the Twinning Program of the Hellenic Parliament “Further Strengthening the Assembly of Albania in the context of EU Accession”.

She writes and speaks fluently french, english and spanish.
