Protocol of Cooperation between the Independent Authority “Consumer Ombudsman” and the “European Consumer Centre of Greece” with the “Medical Association of Athens”

A Cooperation Protocol signed today between the Independent Authority “Consumer Ombudsman” and the “European Consumer Centre of Greece” with the “Medical Association of Athens”.

The purpose of the Cooperation Protocol is to strengthen the overall framework to protect the consumer of medical services and treatment and rehabilitation of disorders related to practices of private health service traders often lead to the challenge of consumer disputes.

In Cooperation Protocol provided joint actions of the Parties, including:

  • Creating a stable framework for cooperation and assistance in order to exchange data in accordance with the purpose and mission of each party
  • Cooperation to assist on matters for which specific knowledge of medical science is required
  • Strengthening the protection of health consumers with faster and better friendly ADR
  • The establishment of an information exchange platform to enhance the proper and ethical practice of medicine and the strengthening of confidence in it.
