Consumer's right of withdrawal after online purchase of shoes worth 730 euros

A Lithuanian consumer purchased shoes worth 730 euros from a Greek online store. Upon receiving the product, she wasn’t satisfied with the quality, but after trying the shoes, she also spotted a defect. She immediately asked the company to return the shoes, but received a negative response on grounds that the defect was due to misuse. The consumer appealed to the European Consumer Centre in her country of residence, which in turn referred the case to the European Consumer Centre of Greece to handle it. Thanks to ECC-GR mediation, the trader acknowledged the consumer's right of withdrawal and satisfied her claim.
